Here you will find the Casino, div. Beach baths, Boulevard, Boat tours, cozy terraces, div. Restaurants, the Christmas market, etc...
17 km from Villach and 18 km from Klagenfurt (airport). Velden has a train station and the bus stops in front of the door.
You can make free use of the spacious private parking with video surveillance, Wifi and BBQ facilities.
Around the house is a spacious garden with children's playground and large heated swimming pool. Table tennis, basketball, billiards and table football are also available.
During your stay you will receive the Wörthersee Plus card for free, which will give you a div. activities discounts.
Our newly renovated apartments/studios are equipped with a fully equipped kitchen.
The rooms have a hair dryer, Filter coffee machine / Senseo, kettle, dishwasher, oven or microwave and fridge freezer.

Our holiday home is located just 2.5 km from the turquoise waters of Lake Wörthersee and is surrounded by 3500 m2 of garden, with large heated swimming pool, which you as a guest can use free of charge. In the garden, the children can enjoy themselves on the bouncy castle, the playground equipment or in the sandbox. (responsibility and supervision obviously lies with the parents).
Our Holiday Home is located on the outskirts of Velden am Wörthersee in the Augsdorf district. In beautiful Carinthia, where it is divine to dwell.
Since July 7, 2017 we are the proud owners of Kärnten Appartements. We are renovating the entire complex into holiday apartments. There are now 6 apartments and 2 studios completely renewed, the floors have all been laminated and new beds have been placed.
The apartments and studios are equipped with new fully equipped kitchens all with dishwasher, spacious rooms and they are completely newly furnished, except for two apartments they all have a walk-in shower. All but one have a spacious balcony with views over the mountains and the garden / pool / parking. In the garden you will find deck chairs and tables, sun loungers, a BBQ, large heated swimming pool, playground equipment, sandpit and large bouncy castle (in good weather) for the children, all of which you can use for free. A stream of water runs past our house where the children, but also the dog, can play and cool off. There is also a large recreation room, where you can stay in the evening or in less weather. This room is equipped with billiard table, football table, div. games, big screen/TV etc. In the late season and winter, the Whirlpool can be used for a small additional fee.
In the entrance hall is a cupboard full of reading books to borrow and Board games for young and old, in the unlikely event that it is not weather to go out.
We are a Dutch couple with hospitality experience that strives to let people / families enjoy a well-deserved holiday.

At 2 min. Walking you have a pond where the dog can swim with adjacent forest. At 5 min. Walking you have a view of the Karawanken and the Pyramid bullet. With 20 min. you can walk to the fashionable Velden am Wörthersee. Cycling and mountain biking is certainly also possible on the div. plotted routes. For the safe storage of your bicycle / mountain bike, we put the garage at your disposal free of charge.
The house is located in Municipality of Velden am Wörthersee. The region is ideal for relaxing on or in the water of the many lakes it has to offer, not only Lake Wörthersee, but also Lake Ossiach, Faakersee, Keutschachersee, Fortsee, Rauschelesee, Langsee. Furthermore, there are tour boats, speedboats, pedal boats, sailing boats etc for rent to enjoy all facets. For cyclists many signposted cycling routes (brochures available from us free of charge).
But also for hikers (there are free brochures with walking routes available) there is plenty to do: around the water, in the woods and the mountains. Such as: the Tscheppaschlucht in Ferlach, where there is also a waldseilpark. With the gondola into the mountains and breathlessly enjoy the distant views, for the daredevils among us you can take a duo jump from the Gerlitzen.
If you prefer to drive an Almstrasse by car, you can choose from the Dobriach at Villach, Nockalmstrasse, Gerlitzen alpenstrasse, Wurzelpas or Loiblpas, all with many S-bends and breathtaking viewpoints. In winter, the Gerlitzen is the place to enjoy your ski holiday. The gondola with ample free parking space can be found at a 20 car minutes from our house.
Velden am Wörthersee is more than worth a visit, just think of one of the many activities that are organized every year in fields themselves or in the surrounding area. For example: The White party, GTI meeting, in the ascension weekend, the GTI meeting 2.0 and since 2019 also a Winter meeting in January. Furthermore Sports car, Vespa, Bentley, Harlley Davidson – meet. Christmas market and Easter market, the casino, Street food festival and on New Year's Eve a giant, free fireworks display and the Viennese waltz, in front of the beautiful Schloßhotel on the water to ring in the New Year. Etc, etc, etc.....
There are also various possibilities for winter sports enthusiasts, skiing is possible on the Gertlitzen Alpe, Katschberg, Turracher Höhe, Simonhöhe, Hochrindel, Dreiländereck, Goldeck (Spittal), Bodental, Bad klein kirchheim, Heidi ́s Schneealm Falkert. This can be skied with the Kärnten Ski Pass.
Cross-country skiing is also possible in the region, with sufficient snow in Keutschach, Schiefling, Gerlitzen Alpe, Dreiländereck, Turracher Höhe, Bad kleinkircheim, Villacher alpen Arena.
Various snowshoe hikes are also possible, in the winter program of the tourist office there are div, guided winter hikes on the Gerlitzen Alpe, Naturpark Dobratsch.
Velden has an artificial skating rink at its disposal. If it is cold enough you can skate on the Augsdorfersee (5 min. Hiking) Keutschachersee and Rauschelesee.
Sledging is possible on div. Places, e.g. on Dreiländereck, Gerlitzen, Keutschach, Katschberg,Wolfsberg.
In summer you can go toboggan on katsberg and at Ossiachersee, Moosburg, Nocky Flitzer on the Turacherhöhe, Zirkitzen, Wolfsberg. Tubing can be done in the summer at Gerlitzen and at Goldeck.
Therme can be found in Villach, Badkleinkircheim, Spittal.
The region has div. Forest ropes course : at Pyramidenkogel, Gerlitzen, Bodental, etc.

Around the Christmas period it is worthwhile to visit the Christmas markets of Velden, Portschach and the Pyramidenkogel.
Weekly markets: Thu-morning Velden (Gemonaplatz), Thu-and Sat-morning in Klagenfurt and on Tue-morning in Villach, boerenmakt on Thu-evening between 17/22 hours Faak am See (May to Sept.).
